Therapies AvailableEmotional Freedom TechniqueThe Emotional Freedom Technique, or E.F.T., belongs to a group of therapies known as "modern meridian therapies" or"subtle energy therapies". E.F.T. is a relatively new therapy which draws upon both ancient and modern techniques from the recognised fields of acupuncture and psychology. As it's name suggests the therapy is a technique which helps free the client from negative emotional patterns which are holding them back in life. During this relatively simple treatment the practitioner guides the client through the E.F.T. process helping them reduce and ultimately dissolve the negative emotions which they are applying the techniques to.E.F.T. gives control to the client. It demonstrates the interconnection of the body and mind. E.F.T. empowers clients, showing them a new way to promote positive changes in their life when and where needed. It is a tool for life which will allow clients a better sense of proportion and clearer perception about their given issue. The basis of E.F.T. is the belief that persistent negative emotions are in part due to blockages within the energy systems of the body. By focussing briefly on the negative emotion or behaviour we can directly access the energy related to it and use the E.F.T process to unblock the energy around the given problem.
