Therapies AvailableWhat is sound resonance healing?Sound resonance healing is quite a gentle therapy. It works on the principle of unblocking stuck negative energy patterns within the body which can lead to illness and negative emotions. Tuning forks which produce quite clear vibrational frequencies are used in this therapy to encourage the body to sympathetically resonate and consequently shake up and regulate these stuck energy pathways. The sound that is emitted by the forks, whilst intriguing and beautiful, is actually incidental to the healing, it is the resonating waves of this sound which have the healing effect. These vibrating waves pass through the recipient's body and are carried by the cerebral spinal fluid and the connective tissue to all parts of the body. Energy vibration is a natural part of the body's communication system and functioning. It aids processes such as regeneration, immune system functioning and good glandular and organ health. Vibration passes through all parts of the body into the nuclei of cells. The energy created by vibration can be further transformed by the body into magnetic, electrical, heat and indeed light energy. The body utilises this energy in ways we are only just beginning to understand. This energetic aspect of the body is the focus of many other therapies such as reiki, acupuncture, emotional freedom technique and bio-resonance Sound resonance therapy can be given to virtually anybody. As mentioned before it is the resonance that is of importance not the sound therefore it is not necessary for a client to be able to hear the sound. The recipient either remains seated or possibly reclines so that the practitioner has good access around the head area. Pairs of tuning forks are used in specific sequences and different frequencies are "played" near the ears for a few seconds each. The treatment can last around half an hour during which the client may feel energy shifts in the body or certain sensations which they weren't previously aware of. The treatment is very gentle and restful and whilst appearing less dramatic than some of the more manipulative therapies such as massage) actually can have quite deep effects on the body. The energetic shifts created by a treatment may take a short while to be assimilated by the client's body. « Back |
