Men's Health Week 2007

Chi Force worked with Leeds Metropolitan University to provide acupressure chair massage during a week long event highlighting Men’s Health Week. Working alongside Staff from the Universities Health centre Chi Force offered short taster treatments to both de-stress and introduce complementary therapy treatments to passing members of the University. There was also the opportunity to have blood pressure checks and to pick up further information about health maintenance and local services.

"It is evidential that the larger proportion of people receiving complementary therapy treatments is female. We were very pleased to take part in this event which was targeted directly to a male audience and we received really good feedback from those participating. During my course of research for this event I could not help but notice the differing approaches and inequality in publicity that male support networks/groups receive.
